Run TradeStation Desktop on our Windows VPS, then open that same workspace from your Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android device. Ninja Mobile Trader VPS keeps your Desktop installation, RadarScreen layouts and EasyLanguage tools on the hosted computer. Your home computer does not need to remain on to provide that workspace.
Our subscriptions include the Windows Server license and 24/7 support. The benefit is continuity: you can return to the Windows tools you already configured without rebuilding a separate layout on every device.
This guide covers TradeStation Desktop. TradeStation also offers TITAN X for Windows and Mac and a native mobile app with its own charts and Matrix. Those products are distinct from remotely controlling your installed Desktop workspace; see TradeStation’s Desktop overview. 1. Prepare TradeStation inside your NMT desktop#
Connect to the VPS first. Install TradeStation Desktop inside that remote Windows session using the download in your TradeStation account. Record the installed version and check the release and any licensed add-ons against the Windows environment you are using.
Use a supported simulated account for the setup rehearsal, with strategy automation stopped. TradeStation’s login guide distinguishes Simulated Trading, Live Trading and Work Offline. Offline mode uses cached data; it is not a live-feed check.
Keep these credentials separate: the NMT website login manages your service, the Windows login opens your VPS, and the TradeStation login connects the platform to your entitled accounts and data.
Choose resources for the whole workspace#
TradeStation’s published requirements list 8 GB RAM as the minimum and 12 GB or more for its power-user profile. Our relevant memory choices, checked October 10, 2026, are:

RAM is one part of the fit. Open your usual charts, history and studies together, then inspect CPU and memory in Task Manager inside the VPS. Record loading behavior and responsiveness in simulation before choosing more capacity. Check the platform’s complete requirements and your add-ons as well as RAM.
2. Transfer the workspace once#
If your workspace already lives on another Windows installation, TradeStation documents two useful transfer paths:
- A workspace layout: choose File > Workspaces > Save Workspace As and save the
.tswfile to a location you can transfer securely to the VPS. Repeat for each needed workspace. The workspace transfer guide explains that this creates a copy and preserves the original. - Selected platform components: use TradeStation’s Backup & Restore utility. Choose the components you need, and restore into the same or a newer TradeStation build. Its archive excludes usernames, passwords and account information.
For custom studies, install or import their required files and complete any separate activation. Do not treat a workspace file as a complete copy of every dependency.
Run a backup during a supervised maintenance window. TradeStation documents that its backup process interrupts the data-network connection and suspends strategy automation while it collects files. It is not a step to start during active execution.

3. Save a recognizable layout#
Name the hosted workspace something clear, such as NMT-TradeStation. Arrange the charts and essential account, order and position panels on one readable screen. The TradingApp Launcher adds Desktop tools such as Chart Analysis, Matrix, RadarScreen and custom EasyLanguage TradingApps.
Choose File > Workspaces > Save Workspace, or Save All Workspaces for every open workspace. TradeStation’s saving instructions describe both options.
Under File > Preferences > Desktop > Workspaces, you can choose to reopen the last active workspace or all previously open workspaces at startup. These startup settings restore the selected layouts; verify account, connection and automation state separately after a restart.
4. Connect from Mac and mobile#
Add the same server address and Windows username on each viewing device. Microsoft’s Windows App remote-PC guide provides the downloads and current setup screens.

Use a recognizable saved connection name. Confirm unexpected server-identity warnings with our support team. Adjust the resolution and pointer mode until account selectors and confirmation dialogs are readable; the remote desktop app guide covers those controls.
The phone is a window into your NMT-hosted TradeStation installation. Switching viewing devices does not require importing the workspace again.
5. Rehearse the handoff before live use#
With TradeStation in the simulated environment and automation stopped:
- From your Mac, note the hosted workspace name, selected simulated account and current connection status.
- Use the remote client’s Disconnect control. Leave TradeStation open; do not choose Windows Sign out or Restart.
- Connect from your phone using the same VPS address and Windows username.
- Confirm the same workspace and intended account. Check quote timestamps for an active, entitled instrument, the platform connection status and the order/position panels.
- Disconnect and reconnect from the Mac. Confirm the workspace is still the intended hosted installation.
This rehearsal needs no order submission. Windows disconnect leaves the session available for reconnection, subject to session policies; signing out closes its applications. Microsoft documents the disconnect/sign-out distinction. A server restart or session timeout can also interrupt applications.
If you return to an empty desktop, check the saved server and Windows username with NMT support before launching another instance. If the desktop responds but prices are stale, check TradeStation’s network status, trading mode, symbol session and data entitlement. A restored remote picture alone does not confirm live data or strategy operation. Use TradeManager and the strategy’s own controls to check actual orders, positions and automation state.
