How to Run Multiple Prop Firm Accounts in One NinjaTrader (VPS Setup Guide)

Connect separate Rithmic prop firm logins in one NinjaTrader: account mapping, PropFirmConnector installation, System settings and missing-account checks.

You can run multiple prop firm accounts in one NinjaTrader installation, but count the separate Rithmic logins before choosing the connection setup. One login can expose several accounts. Separate simultaneous Rithmic logins need a supported add-on such as PropFirmConnector; account feed and stage also affect the connection route.

Map accounts to their logins first#

NinjaTrader documents one active native Rithmic connection at a time. Enabling Multi-provider makes connection configuration available; it does not by itself remove that Rithmic limit.

What you have What to configure
Several accounts under one supported native Rithmic login Start with one connection and check which accounts it exposes
Separate Rithmic logins needed at the same time Use the supported PropFirmConnector route for each login
A new live account or a different feed Confirm its connection route and System before reusing old settings

Make a private record for each login: firm, account stage, feed, System, connection label and expected account IDs. For example, one login exposing three accounts is one connection; three independent logins are three connections. These are planning examples, not tested account limits. Keep passwords out of the worksheet and support screenshots.

Before enabling a copier, confirm the provider’s rules for the specific account stage, ownership and copying arrangement. A connection guide establishes technical setup, not permission to copy orders. PropFirmConnector makes accounts available; a separate copier handles order replication.

Choose the System for the account you received#

Use the firm-specific Rithmic directory to find the appropriate guide. Do not choose settings from a firm’s name alone: a firm can offer several feeds or change the route when a trader moves live.

Current vendor examples checked September 22, 2026:

A payout-eligible or simulated-funded account is not necessarily a real live account. Use the live settings only after the firm confirms live Rithmic onboarding and issues the corresponding credentials. A Tradovate login uses a different route; see the Rithmic and Tradovate connection overview.

Connect separate Rithmic logins in NinjaTrader#

Use the following sequence on the Windows computer or VPS that will run NinjaTrader. Stop active trading before closing the application to install an add-on.

  1. Activate each login. In R|Trader Pro, use the firm-issued Rithmic credentials and correct environment. Complete pending data agreements and check the expected accounts. PropFirmConnector’s guides describe this as a one-time activation check, not a requirement to open R|Trader Pro at every NinjaTrader start.
  2. Install PropFirmConnector when the route requires it. Download its ZIP from your account, close NinjaTrader, extract it, and place NinjaTrader.Custom-pfc.dll in My Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom. Reopen NinjaTrader and complete Activate this device in the browser. Use the current vendor instructions if the package changes.
  3. Open connection configuration. The NinjaTrader sign-in, when prompted, uses your NinjaTrader account. If Connections > configure is missing, follow FlowBots’ Multi-provider instructions: Tools > Settings > General > Multi-provider, then restart. Older versions may label Settings as Options.
  4. Add the trading connection. In Connections > configure, select Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage and add it. Enter the case-sensitive Rithmic credentials, not the firm’s website password or your NinjaTrader sign-in. Give each independent login a recognizable label.
  5. Apply the account’s System. Follow its current connection guide. The documented PropFirmConnector setup leaves Connect on start up and Plug-in mode off. Save, then select the named connection from Connections.
  6. Verify before adding another. Check its status and compare the actual IDs in NinjaTrader’s Accounts tab with your private record. Repeat for the next independent login, then confirm all intended connections and accounts are available together.

Find where a missing account disappears#

Symptom Check next
Missing in R|Trader Pro too Firm-issued login, System, activation agreements and whether the firm has provisioned that account
Present in R|Trader Pro but missing in NinjaTrader Selected connection, credentials, environment and add-on activation
First login works; second fails Independent credentials and the supported simultaneous-login route; retain the exact error
Present in NinjaTrader but absent from the copier Copier account selection and simulation-mode settings in the linked copier guide

Multiple independent logins in one application and reuse of the same login in several applications are different session questions. For a session-limit error, ask the firm/provider which concurrent sessions that login allows. Do not assume the add-on changes a provider’s entitlement or keep retrying with random Systems.

Record the timestamp, connection label, installed NinjaTrader/add-on versions and exact log message for support. Redact credentials and full account IDs from shared screenshots.

For a disconnected NinjaTrader data feed, we recommend Ninja Watchdog. It automatically reconnects supported accounts, including Rithmic and Tradovate, waits for live data, and can restore interrupted strategies. After recovery, inspect actual accounts, working orders and copier state. It cannot restore an unavailable provider. The disconnect troubleshooting guide covers the broader diagnosis.

Validate the copier and size the VPS separately#

Once the accounts are available, use the Replikanto setup guide to map leader/follower accounts and test order submission, modification, cancellation and exits in an explicitly supported simulation environment. An evaluation account label alone does not make an order test harmless or confirm its rules allow copying.

A VPS keeps the Windows installation available independently of your home computer. Use the trade copier hosting guide to map any additional computers, and the NinjaTrader sizing guide to measure the combined charts, connections and add-on load. Account count alone does not determine RAM requirements.

PropFirmConnector pricing and reader offer#

Frequently asked questions

Can I run two accounts from the same prop firm in NinjaTrader at once?

One Rithmic login can expose several accounts in NinjaTrader. Its native limit is one active Rithmic-based connection, not one account. PropFirmConnector supports separate simultaneous Rithmic logins. The account feed and stage also determine whether an add-on is needed for a single login.

Does PropFirmConnector copy trades?

PropFirmConnector provides account connections. Copying orders requires a separate copier, correctly configured for the permitted accounts and quantities.

Do I need R|Trader Pro to connect a prop firm account to NinjaTrader?

PropFirmConnector's setup guides use R|Trader Pro to accept the initial market-data agreements and confirm the account. Follow your firm's current guide for any additional requirements.

Does a funded Rithmic account always use the live System?

No. A simulated-funded account keeps its assigned environment. PropFirmConnector documents Rithmic 01 (Chicago) for real live Rithmic accounts after live onboarding; confirm the feed and credentials issued for your account.

What does PropFirmConnector cost?

As of September 22, 2026, its published plans have a 7-day trial, then cost $49 per month or $499 for a lifetime license. Check the current pricing and checkout terms for available discounts.
